How I came up with ArtBricolage

I had been searching for an elegant template web site that was affordable and offered add on's if I needed them (like e-mail newsletters, e-commerce). I also wanted something that I could update myself, not just the blog part but the actual site itself, without a huge headache. I needed something with an artist slideshow and everyone was telling me use Wordpress! So, after further investigating then buying my domain, hosting account and finally purchasing a cool looking Wordpress template, I set out to make my site. Keep in mind I'm a designer, so I have an eye and decent enough tech skills, but my site looked like crap! I thought it was me, and took this quite personally. Later I discovered that this is a common problem, so with my tech savvy boyfriend, ArtBricolage was born!
